Easter Sunday was full of blessings as I was able to celebrate at my church in the morning and at New Breath Church in the afternoon. Easter is my favorite holiday of the year because we celebrate Jesus defeating death. The worship music is celebratory and the realization of the eternal hope we have in Jesus fills the air in church.
At New Breath, we celebrated with a fellowship dinner after worship service. The children also had an Easter egg hunt and received candy. During worship, the children performed some worship songs. It was all made possible by a generous friend donating funds for New Breath’s Resurrection Sunday celebration. In the picture, I am with Pastor Alekseyi and his wife Ruslana.
It was fun to joke with the children that they should give me their bags of candy and I would give them one piece each Sunday to make the candy last longer. None of them wanted to do that- no surprise. 🙂
The fellowship hall was decorated special for the celebration. The women did not ask my help for that. Can you imagine not wanting my help with decorating? I can. 🙂
The food was delicious and I was fortunate to be able to take a plate home. My best recipe is warming up food other people cook.
It was a wonderful day of celebration. One day in the future, there will be an even grander celebration in heaven.
