New Breath, the Ukrainian Church, experienced a little growth recently emphasis on little. 2 babies were born to two of the young mothers who are members of the church.

One of Pastor Alekseyi’s daughters will graduate high school this week. She will start college in August.

Most of the children have improved their English to the point that next year they will not need to be in English Language Learners most of the school day. They will be in regular class most of the day and in ELL one hour.

It has been a blessing to see how the lives of my Ukrainian friends have improved and yet one concern is on my mind. Most of them are here under Temporary Protected Status. They have to reapply every two years according to the policy set up by the previous administration. For them to be able to change to Permanent Resident would require a policy change. Please pray for them. They literally in most cases would have nothing to return home to due to war destruction.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Of course I will keep them all in my prayers daily 🙏🙏

  2. Amen. Praying for Ukrainians, wherever they are. I agree that these families in your city and other locations need an opportunity to gain permanent status in order to remain in America. May we, as Americans, open the door so others can live in the “Land of the Free.”

    1. Thank you for praying Richard!!!

  3. I am praying on for our Ukrainian brothers and sisters. To send them back—against their will—to an active war zone, or even a war torn country, would be unjust, unfair, unethical, and unreasonable. Plus any other “un” word that fits. 🙏🇺🇦
