Wednesday morning on the first day of my five day weekend due to Thanksgiving Day tomorrow. My coffee is ready with one cup down already. It is a bit cold here today, so I did something radical. I turned on my heat and set it at 60 degrees. I hope I did not go too far with that. 🙂

While listening to worship music, I felt gratitude to God for how he has worked in my life to bring me to a place in life that I do not deserve. I also felt gratitude for my friends from so many different countries.
Tomorrow I will spend Thanksgiving Day with my friend Pastor Alekseyi and his family. His wife Ruslana is a wonderful cook and can cook turkey so even the white meat is moist. I am SO looking forward to spending the day with them tomorrow.

Yesterday was a bit of a bad knee day, so I took an Uber. My Uber driver was a Yazidi man who was my student many years ago. It was nice to catch up with him. He asked me if I remember his name, which I did. I asked him if he remembered mine. He pointed to his phone to indicate Uber showed it and joked that my name is teacher. Anytime I see a student or former student that is my name- teacher.
My friend Luis from El Salvador gave me a ride home, so I told him I will pay for his pupusas on Sunday.
I am so thankful God has led me to working with refugees and immigrants. My life is so interesting and fulfilling because of it.
What are you thankful for?
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
