One of my favorite Christmas songs is O Holy Night. One of the verses from the song speaks so well to me- “Til he appeared and the soul felt its worth.”

If one ever struggles with feeling they are not worth much or perhaps nothing, struggles with feeling completely unworthy in life, feeling abandoned, forsaken, look to the true meaning of Christmas.

Jesus left his throne in heaven to be born as a human baby to become our Savior by dying on the cross and then defeating death through his resurrection as an adult in this life.

You are worth so much to God that Jesus came born as a baby, grew to be a man, suffered terribly for us, and defeated death for us.

God loves you so much that he did not want you to be abandoned or forsaken. That is the true meaning of Christmas.

Thank you for reading. God Bless

  2. A favorite of mine as well Matt. Growing up in a small country church, I watched an uncle sing that song every year with my mom playing piano. Uncle Paul is in his 80’s now and can still belt it out. Lyrics so meaningful enhanced by great music stirs the soul in it’s worth
