Sunday at the end of worship at New Breath, Nathan’s dad, Sasha, was asking for prayer requests before closing the service with prayer. Little Nathan, who is 3 years old, came running in shouting Papa, Papa. Nathan wanted to tell his dad something. He was excited. Sasha smiled at him and listened and then Nathan ran back out. Then Sasha closed with prayer. He was not too busy for his 3 year old son.

I thought about how that is a picture of God our Father. He is never to busy to listen to us. He smiles as we come into his presence. He understands we are finite. We are always welcome to come to him and he never sees us as a distraction.
I am so thankful that Jesus opened the way for us to come to God our Father as Hebrews 10:19-22 says
“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water”
Dear reader, you can come directly to God our Father because of Jesus. It starts with trusting in Jesus as our Savior. He paid it all when he died on the cross for us.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
