Sunday afternoon my friend Pastor Alekseyi tried to teach me to say He is Risen Indeed in Russian. He wanted me to say it in response as people walked in the door saying Christ is Risen in Russian. I wasn’t quite getting it, so I brought up Google translate, typed He is Risen Indeed for it to translate to Russian. Then all I had to do was click the speaker icon on Google Translate for my laptop to respond. Alekseyi found that to be amusing. 🙂

The thought hit me that all over the world on Resurrection Sunday, in many languages, people were greeting each other with Christ Is Risen/He Is Risen Indeed. As wonderful as that is, it pales in comparison to what will happen in the future according to Philippians 2:9-11.

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”

The day is coming that Jesus will receive the honor he is so deserving of when all will bow before him. Some will do so rejoicing because we will face him as our Savior. Sadly, others will do so trembling because they rejected Jesus in this life and face him as their judge.

The question is which group are we in? If we trust in Jesus and receive him as our Savior, that day will be a wonderful day.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
