February in Nebraska means that if we have a nice day, get out and enjoy it because it won’t last. lol

It is also a reminder that Spring is coming. Robins will return. Flowers will grow. Tree will wake up. Oh and my allergies will be back.

So I have plans to enjoy this sunny day. I will meet with a student from Bosnia and then with a student from Honduras. After that I will buy lunch for my student/friend from Bosnia for his birthday.

I will do the dreaded deed of going to a store because I want to make sure I have allergy medicine to be prepared. The trees could start waking up soon.

Then I will go to a park for a while to enjoy the sunshine. I will take a book with me, read, and pray. Being in the park praying helps me feel connected to Jesus. I want to enjoy this day because it is February in Nebraska which means in a few days it will be cold with winter weather again.

One question for my readers living where winter is a reality- What do you like to do when a rare warm sunny day comes in February?

One question for my readers who live in warm climates with no winter- Do you want to experience a harsh Nebraska winter with freezing temperatures and snow? 🙂

Have a blessed day all. I will go enjoy the sun now. 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

    1. Thank you little sister. Have a blessed day 🙂

      1. You are welcome big Bro. You have a blessed as well! 😊

  3. I remember those bitter Midwest winters very well. Living in Illinois, we didn’t see the sun for 3 months either. I loved playing ice hockey on the Fox River though and the frozen over basketball courts that the city did. They even put up nets for us to play and benches on the side to sit on. It’s been nice here. It was 50゚and sunny yesterday and supposed to be 50゚ again today. So glad spring is almost here! Sounds like you will have a fun day! God bless!

    1. Thank you my friend. Blessings

  4. I hope today’s sun and time with friends brought joy and happiness to your soul my friend. I live in the Midwest and we do get our share of cold, wintery days. When I was a kid and it warmed up, I would immediately head outside to soak up that fresh air. Now, if the roads are clear and it’s above 40 I will make sure my dog gets a walk outside. 🙂

    1. What kind of dog do you have?

      1. a mutt……mostly pitbull. she is a rescue and such a treat to have as a family member. 🙂

      2. me too! 🙂 and I also so my kitties and chickens.

  5. I live in the mountains where it gets very cold! But we also have gorgeous summers. Have a lovely day!

    1. Thank you my friend. Have a blessed day 🙂

  6. If only the trees could remain a bit ‘quieter’ a little longer while the sun shines in her glory!

  7. We are at the park today as well! 🙂 Enjoy my friend!

  8. Sounds like you have a fun day planned.

I would love to experience a winter with snow. Our winters are cold but nothing like you experience. I am from South Africa by the way. Enjoy your day!

    1. Thank you 🙂
You could visit a northern country some day 🙂

  10. As always your post made me smile. ☺ The trees could start waking up, indeed. Thanks for the reminder that I’m not alone. There are still like minded and dearly appreciated people always around me. I’m thankful and glad.

    1. We are kindred spirits 🙂

      1. *two thumbs up* ☺ Enjoy your weekend, bro. ❤

  11. No Thanks. I don’t want harsh cold weather. Haahaa .

  12. Another allergy person here, though I also have some indoor issues as well, so I pretty much have to take meds year-round. Sigh. Such is life, though! 🙂 Kansas is much the same on temperature flucuation, being that we’re next door neighbors! I really wouldn’t mind not having the cold weather, though, frankly. On these warm days, I *try* to get outside for a walk if my joints aren’t protesting too much. The sun feels really good. 🙂

    1. Hello Neighbor 🙂
Sometimes I think I should live in a place like San Diego where it is never too hot or too cold. But so expensive there lol

  13. Ah, yes, the weather there is tempting, but I agree. Lol.

  14. Smiles. I feel I would prefer the winter without the “harsh” 😁
Here has been very sunny and the heat is just not it for me. 😪

Thank God for the Sunny day though. 🙂

    1. I think you it would be fun for you to experience harsh winter hahaha

      1. Smiles. Awww. From the “harsh” I am picturing more of “gnashing” than fun. 😂

  15. We’ve barely experienced winter here in Oklahoma! Not a big fan of winter, but I would welcome a “snow” day(s)! It’s a long time until Spring Break!

    1. I feel the same. We had snow Thursday so I was happy to go in to work later yesterday. 😁

      1. From Christmas to Spring Break is a long time in the classroom! The kids are ready for a break and I am, too! ❄❄❄

      2. We only had one snow day here this year.

      3. I think you should move to Alaska little sister haha

      4. Lol. No thanks I’ll pass.

  16. I had a friend from Honduras years ago. She’s the reason I named my lizard Cocoa. We actually had snow yesterday so got to go to work later. I have had the best of both worlds in the places I’ve lived. I prefer no snow.

    1. Do you still have the lizard?

      1. Oh no, that was years ago before my daughter was born.

      2. Do you want another one?

      3. No, I think I got enough of lizards in Florida. 😊

      4. How about a cute Koala?

      5. They are cute, but not cute enough for me to bring home! 😂

      6. Haha. They need a ranch to live on, that’s too much work.

      7. I did have two hamsters once. Is that close enough?

      8. That was in the past. 🙂
        What about now?

      9. No pets of any kind now. I can’t do it. It’s like having kids. 😊

      10. Definitely not!!! 😂

      11. No way! I think you should consider getting a chimp. 🐒

      12. We could both get chimps 🙂

  17. I prefer no snow although we did have snow yesterday and got to go to work later. 😊

    1. I think you secretly love snow haha

      1. I see you found my messages. I wondered what was going on lol. Snow is no fun, especially when you have to drive in it. 😊

      2. Yes I found them. I check my spam folder once a week. I was surprised 3 messages from you were there

  18. I absolutely love the cold. the colder, the better. I’m envious of people who live in snow, cold climate lol.

    1. Move here and you can be happy November through March 🙂 lol

  19. I live in a state that has snowy months and gets very cold. Today was a warm, sunny day. I was so excited! No snow, no slush, no salt on the roads. It was a good day for driving.

    1. Nice to have sunny days this time of year 🤗
