Story Time- A Change for my Living Room

In the mornings, I teach a class for moms in the elementary school where their children attend. The busy streets close to the school have School Zone signs with flashing yellow lights. When the lights are flashing, before and at the beginning of the school day and for a while after school, drivers have to slow down.

So I got to thinking about how now that I teach online from my home, I need a school zone. My thinking is to make it safer for me to walk across my living room to my kitchen from my home office to get coffee or a snack.

I should probably also consider putting in a crosswalk to ensure safety as I cross my living room. I am not sure if it matters that I live alone and cars of course do not drive through my apartment.

Before you think I have lost my mind being self isolating, it is just to give you a laugh.

But you know who will safely get us to where we are going?

Jesus

Jesus said in John 14, “I am the way, the truth, and the life”

Jesus is the way. He knows the way because he is the way. He knows our future. He controls time because he created time.

For me it is a comforting thought when it seems the whole world has gone crazy, like now with the COVID-19 virus, that Jesus knows my future because he is in my future and in my present at the same time.

I would like to share a video by Janet Paschal- God Will Make A Way. I hope it encourages you.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. LOL I want a railroad complete with crossing gate, lights, and train whistle.

Have a great day in the L-RD!

The L-RD bless you and protect you!
The L-RD deal kindly and graciously with you!
The L-RD bestow His favor upon you and grant you peace!
    (Numbers 6:24-26)

  2. I am so grateful that Jesus is in my present and my future. Great reminder, Matthew. I’m sure your students are blessed by your sense of humor; so necessary especially in crisis times. Laughter truly is medicine for the soul. β™₯
