You know how people are always looking for the secret somethings? You know- the secret to success, the secret to life, the secret to…………..

Well I was way ahead of the curve on that. When I was 10 years old, one early summer day, my best friend Todd and I decided we were going to create the secret power formula that no one had ever thought of.
Into the garage we went where we began to combine the ingredients for our secret power potion. Into the large metal bowl went liquid car wax, fertilizer, car oil, and whatever else we could get our 10 year old hands on.

Then it happened. Todd and I both lived at the top of the hill. We looked down and noticed his mom had turned the corner. Panicked over being busted, we dumped the bowl onto the grass and threw water on to cover up.
Nothing could grow in that spot for years no matter what his father tried. There was a big round brown spot there-permanently.
Years later, as adults in our forties, we had lunch with his mom. I made my confession to her by saying, “Do you remember the big round brown spot by the tree? Well…” and before I could finish she told me that she and her husband knew Todd and I had done something but they couldn’t prove it. We all laughed.
So often people end up regretting falling for someone claiming to have “the secret”
The secret is that there is no secret. God has made it clear and plain in his word. To have a relationship with God, we only need to realize our need for forgiveness and to embrace Jesus as our Savior.
For prayer there is no secret. No one knows how to pray, but God takes care of it for us. He looks at our hearts. We only need to come to him with a humble spirit and talk with our Heavenly Father.
During this time of Crisis, don’t worry about “the secret”. God loves you and wants you to come to him.
I wonder if I were to drive by Todd’s old house if I would still see that big brown spot.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
Thank You Jesus for providing us with the Way to the Father. All we have to do is believe. You are so good to us. Please be with Your children today and draw us ever so close to Your side. It is Your face we seek. In Jesus name. Amen.

I love how the minds of 10-year-old boys work.
Thank you
You’re most welcome.
Iβm thankful the Lord can see our hearts. We donβt have to be perfect to come to Him.
It is a good thing we don’t have to be perfect to come to him or I would be in trouble

I can imagine the expression on your faces when his parents told you they knew all this while. π
It’s such a relief that we can come to God as we are and He will aid us through life always.
