My morning Family Literacy Class that moved to online classes to finish the school year wrapped up Thursday. We used Zoom for our online classes. I am so proud of the moms who joined me for online class. It was something so new for them and they did well.
The picture is actually from April last year in my classroom. When we were in the classroom, the moms would make a new calendar each month. There were many things we missed about not being in the classroom, but we had some magical moments online.
Each morning at the end, I showed them the video from our Children’s Zoo in my city. The Zoo is closed for now, but is posting a new video of a Zoo Keeper talking about a different animal each day. The first day I showed the video, a pre-school daughter joined her mom to watch and her mom explained it to their in their language.
Thursday I told the moms how proud I am of them. I wish we could have our usual end of year celebration, but it is not possible.
So I have 2 weeks to sleep in and then the adventure continues with online summer school for the moms for one month. I am SO THANKFUL that God has blessed me with being able to teach online.
So it is a wrap for now, but the adventure will continue.
