When summer began, I felt led to work on two writing projects, notes on John for an interactive groups discussion and turning my short story Jessica’s Encounter at the Harbor Coffee Shop into a book.

My writings for John in the bible have been a weekly endeavor. It started with sharing them with my Life Group from church which led to the pastor asking me to do a Discipleship Training Group. As I prayed about it, the Lord showed me that preparing one on using the Bible for outreach fit better with what was needed. That was in July.
So yesterday I submitted to my pastor the first draft of my notes for using the Bible for sharing with others.

Now I feel led to focus on my book again. It will deal with the issue of Human Trafficking with the main character, Jessica, having a series of encounters with people from the Bible but in modern day settings. My hope is for the book to generate support for ministries that combat Human Trafficking and care for the victims.
I am sharing this update because prayers would be appreciated. Writing daily in my blog is relaxing for me. Writing projects that could have potential for ministry brings on daily battles. Those who are mature Christians will understand what I mean.
My book Jessica’s Encounters is currently at 20,000 words. It took back seat to Using the Bible for Outreach, but now I feel the Lord showing me to bring it back to the forefront. Perhaps a release of it in the fall would be good timing. Please pray for me.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
