Blessings in the Adventure

It is Friday evening and just finished my Life Group. We are going through John in the bible using notes I have been putting into writing. It was a wonderful time with my Life Group and we ended by praying. I was glad to share some good news with them.

God has been so good to me through his people. Two wonderful friends in Christ gave me donations via PayPal. The week capped off with me opening my mailbox and finding an envelope for a card, but when I opened it, there was cash in a folded piece of paper.

It was so unexpected when my evening classes were canceled permanently after 20 years. I had no way to really try to replace the lost income during this time of COVID. But God has blessed me through his people.

Since the shutdown in March, God has continuously shown me that he is with me in a variety of ways. It always seems to happen when I need it most.

I have felt a sense of change happening, but to what it not clear yet. It feels like it is in progress but the Lord has not shown me clearly yet what it is. But we walk by faith not by sight.

Where is this adventure going? I am not sure, but I do know that all of the adventures I have been on with Jesus have surprised me in so many wonderful ways.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Matt, a few years ago we were going through a very rough patch financially. I can’t tell you how many times we came home to groceries on the porch, cash in the mailbox, and scholarships for our kids for camp and other activities. When we are faithful to God, He is even more faithful to us!!
