It has been a long time since I last experienced a dinner in a restaurant that required a reservation. The last time was when I was in France teaching in a conversational English language camp. We went to a fancy restaurant, love French food by the way, and we were asked if we had a reservation. We did and as we were being led to our table by the host, it felt out of place for this simple teacher.

I have flown internationally eleven times and many more times domestically. I have flown economy class all but one time when I was given an upgrade to business class for a trip to Europe. There is a difference in service and comfort.

As nice as having a reservation in a fancy French restaurant and flying in business class were, there is no comparison to a seat that is reserved for me that I had nothing to do with except trusting in Jesus. Ephesians 2 says:
“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus”
A seat is reserved in heaven for all who come to know Jesus. The cost has already been covered by Jesus.
The older I get, the more I appreciate having that seat reserved for me. My hope is for all to have such a seat reserved for them
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
