Last night in my Life Group, we talked about how it was intentional on Jesus’ part to come to earth and to be crucified for us. I asked the members to let it sink in a bit that Jesus intentionally came to die for us and then asked how it made them feel to know that Jesus knew the plan all along and followed through on the plan.
Responses were along the lines of loved, unworthy, grateful, in awe, etc.
I love the lyrics to the song What A Beautiful Name by Hillsong- “You didn’t want heaven without us, so Jesus you brought heaven down.”
With all of the craziness and turmoil around us at this time, just knowing that Jesus intentionally went to the cross, intentionally left his throne in heaven to be born as a human baby so he could grow to be our Savior, brings such calm to me.
Jesus wants us to enjoy heaven with him. He wants us to enjoy relationship with him.
Jesus wants you, yes you my reader, he wants you to enjoy heaven with him. He wants you to enjoy relationship with him. Jesus wants you. He doesn’t care if your life is a mess. He wants you.
I have shared the video What A Beautiful Name before, but I want to share it again. As you listen to it, think about how Jesus did not want heaven with you, so he brought heaven down.
