Stormy Days

Waking up to a thunderstorm, the realization that my plans for today have changed have dawned on me. I had plans to have a picnic to reconnect with some of my friends from Colombia, Dominica Republic, Mexico and Peru. It looks like we are changing from summer weather to fall weather in one day.

So it looks like a day to stay home after church and do some writing. My U.S. Citizenship classes are on break, so no teaching today. It will be a good day for writing. I am actually writing this post before I go to church. First time writing in the morning for me.

When plans change, it is God’s way of guiding me to what he wants me to do. Today and this week it will be writing and trying to finish my book. I feel a short story brewing in my mind too. A stormy day is a good day to write, drink coffee, and at times watch the storms as the roll in.

    You seem to be very accommodating brotherMatt….change of plans don’t bother you at all🤩🎀🌻…have fun writing. I hope your book gets done soon….
    If I’m alone on a stormy day, I like to write or pray….basically the same things I’d donif i were alone😅😆no change in plans for me🎀🐼….take care brother Matt

    Smiles. Good to know you are concluding the book soon. I pray for more inspiration-filled days. 🙏
    We don’t have heavy storms here. But in a similar scenario, I would love to rest and watch a movie and I most definitely would pray for calm too. 😊

    I love storms, (not wild winds) I find it relaxing, just listening to the sound of the rain, the thunder roaring and lightning illuminating the night sky, 😊

    When it storms, I like to be at the back door or the window, outside, if possible, trying to get pictures or video of lightning and thunder. I find these activities exhilarating, moments of praise and peace.
