In our study of John 1:1 last week, we saw that a title for Jesus that John used is The Word. We saw that The Word is God and became a human being full of grace and truth from our study of John 1. The post is- What’s In A Title?
In John 1:3 we see that Jesus created everything:
“Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

Of all of creation, only human beings are referred to as being created in the image of God. In Genesis 1 we see that God created everything else first to give to human beings-mankind- to enjoy.
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
But mankind lost the inheritance when sin entered the world through Adam and Eve.
The supremely best news possible is that Jesus came to give us the greatest right there is in all of creation. He came to give us the right to become children of God. In John 1:12-13 we see:
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God

Jesus left heaven to come to earth to live among us in a time much harsher than our times even with a pandemic. Jesus came for us even though we mess up. He did so because he wants us. God wants us. God wants you. Yes, you. God wants you to be his sons and daughters. He cherishes you. We only need to receive Jesus.
I love the lyric from What A Beautiful Name- You didn’t want heaven without us, so Jesus you brought heaven down. With that in mind, I am sharing that song again.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
In spite of our sins God’s love is always unconditional. Love this song,
Blessings my friend
Amen. God Bless 🙂
Grateful that I can be named His and we are all made in His image and likeness. We are indeed made for more. 🙌
God loves you little sister 🙂
We are grateful that we are of the image of God, and this affords to have a personal relationship with Him, the Word, as we study and meditate on His Word. Thank you for a powerful message. May God richly bless you.
Jesus loves you little sister 🤗
Amen
I am still in awe that he left Heaven to walk on Earth in human flesh just so that I could be saved from the fires of Hell. I am so unworthy & will be forever grateful for my salvation.
