I was watching The Voice last night and one of the Battleground pairings sang a song by Julia Michaels- If The World Was Ending. It got me thinking about that but not in a romantic song way.

I thought about if this was my last post what would I want to say to my fellow bloggers and readers. So here goes.

If this was my last post, these are the things I would want to say.

1st and foremost- Jesus loves you. He gave his life on the cross for you and defeated death for you. Look to him.

2nd- Be yourself as you blog. Let your voice come through in your posts. Don’t worry about trying to be like someone else.

3rd- Give yourself permission to try ideas and see what works for you.

4th- Don’t focus on stats. There are peaks and valleys when it comes to views, likes etc.

5th- Interact, genuinely interact, with other bloggers. Spam type comments turn people off. Also if you mostly comment about the awards type posts, at least for me, it does not seem like genuine interest.

6th- This COVID thing will pass. Don’t look at the circumstances around you. Look to Jesus.

7th- Have fun with blogging 🙂

        I said that I would ask my two children and grandchildren to read the Bible to me everyday. (They are not as yet walking with the Lord)

    All good points. Blogging is a way to share, express ourselves but it also teaches us to not compare and to be obedient to the way God leads us to share about faith and the word.

    Hmm…..that’s a tough decision. I think about my end quite often and every time I see it differently. Some times I feel I will just stay silent. Sometimes I feel like that’s my last and only opportunity to be heard and I will vomit all of my heart. Both very conflicting ideas….so what would I say to my fellow bloggers….I’m not sure if I’d say anything at all…..or if I’ll say something nice and encouraging…..or maybe leave behind a key…..I dont know…..🤓🤔😅🤷‍♀️😉….but I ain’t going anywhere for now….I know I don’t intend to….so I’ll be here troubling you some more🦥….no relief for you brother Matt….😉😛😼🙅‍♀️🐒

    Very good list of things to say, Matt! I love the thoughts of sharing the love of Jesus and the thoughts about not worrying about stats and just being yourself in your blog. Nothing has changed my experience on here like those two things.This question is something I ponder as well and all I can think is continuing my emphasis on Jesus Christ and Him crucified, that others can know Him as Savior and Lord and not be bound by anything in their past. I’d like to urge my readers to grab onto their faith and keep hold come what may. And, if we never spoke on this earth again, that I hope to meet them on the other side.

    This is not a tip, but a comment and a question – I find myself so swamped with new blogs to read from all the wonderful bloggers I now follow. They all pile into my email inbox and have such exciting titles and I open them all up so as not to miss any, but often have not enough time to read more than a couple and I end up having to spend hours reading them on catch up evenings. I used to read books and watch DVDs in my spare time! It is not a complaint, but I wonder how the rest of you manage all the new posts, especially as some of you post almost daily!?? Please don’t read this as a complaint, I know it is my own choice, but I’m both curious and slow!

      One thing I do is look through the Reader on my WP. The emails can stack up, but if I look through the reader of WP, it helps. 1 example is some bloggers will post a picture with a short sentence. If I see it on WP reader, I can click under it to see the whole picture.

      Another thing that helps is that I know which bloggers tend to write longer posts and which ones write short posts. The longer posts I save for later when I will have more time.

        thank you for your response. I do some of that, but I need to make sure I’ve seen all my emails and missed nothing, as one can become so busy. I guess I’m just a bit slow. I have choice though and I read because they are interesting and I am blessed

    Aah, that’s an amazing list, and you are already living it. I will also learn from it, because blogging is all about making an impact on others, allowing yourself to be a vessel of honor in God’s hands, yet we need to have fun while doing it.
