A Light at the End of the Tunnel?

The local news in my city had a news story about a teacher who was treated for COVID recently. She had underlying health problems, so she was referred to a local hospital for a new antibody treatment. She recovered quickly.

Vaccines have arrived and will be given to healthcare workers soon. The governor of my state estimates that by April all of the people in my state will have had the chance to have a vaccination.

It seems as if the light is at the end of the tunnel. Glimmers of hope regarding this pandemic are showing.

Speaking of a light. I read that Jupiter and Saturn will align on December 21st to make the first “Christmas Star” in 800 years.

Can you imagine being one of the three magi who followed that star to Bethlehem to see the baby Jesus? That star led them to Jesus the light of the world.

Light brings hope. Think of the saying-light at the end of the tunnel. It expresses hope in dark or difficult times. Jesus brings true hope. He promised he will always be with us.

This Christmas season, even in the midst of a pandemic, look to Jesus the light of the world. Lockdowns, COVID, or any other problems cannot separate us from the light of Jesus. πŸ™‚

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Amen! In the middle of this pandemic’s darkest days comes Advent and its message of hope, peace, joy, and love. Thanks Matt for sharing the music of Lauren Daigle as well. God’s peace!

  2. Thank you for the reminder that His Light is always freely available. My nieces lost their Grandma to COVID last week. She was only 52. I am grateful for the knowledge we have that Jesus is watching over her. ❀

  3. Thank you for the message and the song. Yes, come Lord Jesus! Good news is so needed right now. There is a need for something that we can all be happy about, so that we can recognize our common humanity.

      1. I did see the dentist. I had a tooth pulled on the day before Thanksgiving. I developed a dry socket, which is more painful than the original ache. I went back to the dentist and put medicine on the place, but I am still in pain. I think it will just take time to heal, and I know that this too will pass. I hope to start back blogging by Sunday. Thank you for your concern, and I love your song choices.

  4. Woah….
