Thank you for the music today! Oh, yes, come, you who are thirsty and have no money. Come for the free gift of salvation in Jesus’ name. I have been asked to speak on Good Friday on Luke 23:34 on forgiveness. I have heard so many times it preached on just forgiveness, but I marveled for the first time on the idea of “for they know not what they do.” What does that statement mean? It is that no one understands that this is a triumphant moment that they have been chosen to participate in, or does it mean that sin occurs through ignorance of consequences or of God’s redeeming love? This song speaks of forgiveness bought by Jesus’s precious blood. What love!
