Music Mondays- Face to Face by Natalie Grant

My feet are tired from the runnin’
My strength is gone for overcomin’
My lips are silent, I don’t know what to pray
So I’ll wait, I’ll wait for You

In this life we face struggles that can drain us. It can get to the point that we do not know what to pray. I have had moments in prayer that all I could was mutter-ugh- and say I need your help Lord.

Waiting on the Lord, spending time in his presence, can renew our strength as Isaiah 40:31 says:

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Whatever our struggle in life is, we can know:

1- God loves us and nothing can separate from his love.

2- God knows what we need.

3. Jesus has overcome the world.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Prayer can be as simple as saying, “Jesus help me” it can be as pure as reciting God’s Word and promises. When we are overwhelmed, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. It is wonderful that we have an open communication line with Our Father! Good post, Matt!

  2. Reading your post I’m reminded of Romans 8:26-27 ‘In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
    Good reminder!!

  3. Amen. I do relate to your words. Many times in the.midst of trouble all I can do is groan. I am so glad that in these times the Spirit makes intercession for us and God understands and hears our groaning. Thank you for sharing. I love the song.
