Special Surprise Before Surgery

This was me in the waiting area at an outpatient surgery center. I had minor surgery yesterday. Something made a huge difference for me. After I was taken back to the room to be prepped, I noticed Christian music was playing. They had a local Christian radio station on.

As I laid in the prep area listening to worship songs, it was a blessing to pray for people. It was the calmest I have felt in years in a medical facility. Being able to listen too worship songs before surgery was a special suprise.

This weekend will be blogger chat Saturday morning in Zoom, relaxing at home the rest of the day Saturday, church Sunday morning, and coffee shop Sunday afternoon. It will be a weekend to take it easy.

What are your weekend plans?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. It is always a blessing to hear Christian music in a place besides church. This weekend my plans are to spend more time with God since it was a difficult week, and then I have class Sunday night. Enjoy your weekend my friend ☺️

  2. The grass (and weeds) are already growing around here, so I plan to mow the yard today. My dentist’s office always has Christian music piped into every room. It always makes me feel more relaxed, as I don’t like going to the dentist.

    🙏❤️ prayers and love.

  3. That’s awesome, love knowing that! Not very often we hear Christian music playing in businesses outside of Christian bookstores or counseling offices…

  4. Hello big brother, good to hear you are on the mend. Yes God’s words ALWAYS soothes my soul. For example, I suffer with claustrophobia and whenever I have had to have a MRI, I recite scriptures while I am in that tin can.

  5. Good to hear you are well. I plan to go to church, as we started attending church in person last week at a church only three minutes from our home. I am dealing with allergies badly, so I want to write, but my mind just can’t seem to get past the pain and awfulness of being allergic to pollen in the Spring. Yet, I plan to try.

      1. Great! My husband will have the first of 44 radiation treatments today for prostate cancer. He was originally scheduled to have the radiation begin a couple of weeks ago, but he needed to heal more after surgery.

Also today, I am going to the dentist about an infected tooth. Years ago, I had an anaphylactic shock reaction to an injected anesthetic and I nearly died. Literally left my body! Although I know they won’t inject me with that same drug, I tend to flashback any time I have an injection, especially a numbing kind. But I know that my life is in the Lord’s hands!

Wouldn’t it be great if the dentist, and my husband’s radiologist, played Christian music?
