Wellness Wednesdays- In The Green!!! and 2 more weeks

It FINALLY happened. My city went down to green on the COVID risk dial. Our mandatory mask wearing is going away. It is time to celebrate. Life is getting back to normal but what the new normal will look like will be an adventure to explore.

When we went from red to orange, I bought oranges to share with the teachers at my school. When we went from orange to yellow, I bought bananas. I am not sure what to buy for going from yellow to green, but I will buy something. I will go to the school this morning to close out my room for the school year. Maybe I will just buy chocolate and candy.

Two weeks from today I will finally have my appointment with a specialist at the University Medical Center in a city one hour from my city. My hope is that there can be a definitive diagnosis now that there is proof I have psoriasis. I am not sure if I will start a treatment program that day but I sure hope so. I am tired of waking up at night with pain in my left hand.

Hopefully the city where my appointment will be will also do away with their mask mandate so I don’t have to wear one to the appointment. I am not opposed to wearing a mask it is just that it wrecks havoc with my asthma.

So we are in the green here-FINALLY and my appointment is only two weeks away. Such thoughts lift my spirits.

Thank you for reading, God Bless.

  1. Awesome!! I bet you still have to wear them in the large chain stores?? Walmart, Target, etc..?
Can’t wait to see them gone completely!!

  2. Congrats on going green πŸ™‚
On the theme of fruits I think you should go with green apples or kiwi or pears or grapes.
Praying for a definite answer in the next two weeks and good luck πŸ™‚

  3. Yay for you and your city! As for green, you could bring in, grapes, green sherbet ice cream, green frosted cookies, green apples, sweet green cantaloupe ….you’ll think of something fun, I’m sure. 🍏🍐

So you were diagnosed with psoriasis? Will you be starting out with a conservative treatment plan or infusion? I will be praying for Gods treatment plan for you Matt. πŸ™β€

    1. I was diagnosed with psoriasis by a dermatologist in late March. Then I saw my GP for a referral to a rheumatologist. I have an appointment with rheumatologist June 2nd to see if I have psoriatic arthritis. Based on symptoms I think that is what I have. The only treatment so far is topical for psoriasis.

      1. Oh, that’s true. Some of our patients did have psoriasis, but there were quite a few with psoriatic arthritis. June 2nd is just around the corner.

  4. Praying for some definitive answers and treatment for your condition. My second shot should be fully working next week so I am looking forward to doing something different . . . for a change.
