May Is Awareness Month For………………….

May is awareness month for mental health and for several chronic illnesses including :Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, Arthritis, Celiacs, and others.

Which ever chronic illness a person is living with, there are some things shared in common such as social life being affected, limited, or in some cases nonexistent. Doctor appointments seem unending and are costly. Some experience loneliness and depression.

One person who will never leave us is Jesus. I love the promises of Jesus and would like to share a few.

John 14:23-
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

Jesus wants to be our roommate.

Matthew 28:20

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus will always be with us.

I would also like to share a song that has meant so much to me. It is My Prayer for You by Alisa Turner.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. The need to pray for each other is so geat today, and this song demonstrates so well what we need to believe in times of trials and pain, especially when it is a chronic pain. I loved it and could only lift my hands in praise to the Lord who never leaves us or forsakes us. Thank you for the songs and the words of God that bless us and remind us that we are His children, the apples of His eyes.

  2. Good morning my brother, your today post is such a blessing. Mental illness as well as the other chronic diseases you listed, in my estimation, needs so much more awareness and de-stigmatization so that more persons feel ok to seek help as one would for high blood pressure for example. Very sad that many are living with mental unable or unwilling to seek help due to the stigma attached to such a diagnosis.
    Have a blessed day.

  3. I pray that the Lord will heal, comfort and deliver every person who suffers from these illnesses. I pray that their hearts will receive the Word of God so that they will have hope. Thank you for bringing awareness to this. Bless you, my brother.

  4. Amen! The LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you!
Prayers; for healing, hope, and comfort for people with chronic illness and mental health problems. 🌺

  5. Thank you for this beautiful song of prayer for all no matter what the circumstances. Prayer is our connection and ongoing communication with our Heavenly Father. It’s an honor and privilege to lift one another up for prayer because it joins our hearts spiritually. Keeping you in prayer Matt. Just a few more days….🙏❤

  6. Thank you so much for helping to raise awareness about these issues and for these encouraging words. It’s important to remember that, no matter what you’re going through, God is always there. He is the psychologist that will always listen, the healer whose doors are always open and the hand to hold when you’re riding through waves of pain or anxiety.
