I saw this in the staff lounge at the school where I teach in the mornings. It expresses my sentiments about coffee so well. 🙂
For me there is nothing quite like the smell of coffee brewing. That wonderous aroma awakens my senses in the morning.
I am a coffee purist meaning no sugar, no cream, no latte, no fluffy drinks for me. I like my coffee black and I prefer dark roast.
The first thing I do each morning is get my cup of coffee and then I turn on some worship music to ease into life. About halfway through my first cup, I begin to pray over my day. When I finish my first cup, it is of course time for my second cup. While drinking my second cup, I read some bible, listen to more worship music and then check emails. By the end of my second cup, it is time to get ready.
When I reach the school, there is a Keurig machine to those mornings a third cup is called for. Yes there are those fluffy fufu flavored ones to choose from, but I have my own secret stash of dark roast. I enter my classroom with my third cup, and quietly get ready for my students to arrive.

I love flavored K-cups, that way I get all the flavor of fru-fru coffee without the added calories/carbs from syrups. I do add a tablespoon or so of liquid creamer.
How about bacon and egg flavored?

I set our coffeepot timer at night so that a full pot is all ready first thing in the morning. I pour a thermos full, grab a favorite mug, and go upstairs to my quiet time desk – where I have my creamer and coffee and time with the Lord. I love this beginning to my day.
I need to get one with a timer 🙂
You would love it. But if the power goes out you have to remember to reset it or the following morning you will wake up very disappointed. Ask me how I know that. 😀

Amazing message on that coffee mug! If you check Pinterest, you can find other messages about “Perkatory.” I like my French dark roast coffee slightly sweetened with a bit of Stevia. I use a Keurig machine at home, but I use my ground coffee over those k-cups.

I have a love/hate relationship with coffee…I love it and it hates my guts…literally! So I’ve been taking a long break from it and boy do I miss it!!!
