When God tells us to take courage in the bible, it is not an empty encouragement. He gives us the reason for taking courage. It is because he goes before us and with us.
Joshua 1:9
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Whatever we go through in this life, God is with us. It is comforting to know that whatever problem we face, we do not face it alone in our own ability. We face it with God in his power.
