Saturday In The……..

The music group Chicago had a famous song Saturday in the Park. As I think about today with it being the nicest day out of the coming days, a park sounds nice. A park this time of year can mean enjoying the fall colors on the trees. But in typical Nebraska fashion, we had two rounds of thunderstorms come through my city this past week and the winds blew the leaves off.

So what is a boy to do in this scenario? I guess it will be Saturday in the coffee shop. ๐Ÿ™‚

So after meeting with my friend from Venezuela to study and then lunch-burgers- with my friend from Bosnia, off to the coffee shop I will go with laptop and a new book in hand.

Yes I will practice Spanish by reading a children’s book in Spanish. ๐Ÿ™‚

I also have a few commentaries on Acts in the bible. I might do a series on that in my blog after the Study on John finishes. So time to crack those open too.

The oak trees are just starting to change colors, so maybe next Saturday will be Saturday in the park even though it will be a brisk 45f/7c degree day.

What will you do today?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. First thing I will do is take a walk. There is a trail by my house. And it looks like a beautiful day outside. Enjoy the coffee shop.

  2. The coffee shop sounds delightful! For me I am about to start off my quiet time and unplug for social media for prayer and reflection. Enjoy your time at the coffee shop ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

  3. My wife and I are together at the hair dresser today. Yes, I go too, and it doesnโ€™t take long to cut my hair. Later this afternoon, we plan to install a shelf in our garage.

  4. These recent frosty mornings have kept me inside without being able to enjoy an early walk. It’s just not the same when I wait until the afternoon. My consolation prize has been to enjoy some expanded writing time.
