As we close out this year and look to the beginning of a new one, there is a predominant thought in my mind. It is about hope. I am not one to sugar coat things and simply be positive for the sake of being positive. After the past two years of an ongoing global pandemic and all that has come with it, the question is where do we look for hope.
Depending on what country, or in the USA what state, a person is in, we have seen varying degrees of governments bungling the response to the pandemic. I do not look to government for hope.
Scientists can’t seem to get a grip on the whole thing. I do not look to scientists for hope.
So who do I look to? My answer comes from Psalm 121:
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Jesus is the only one who can give true eternal hope. I am sharing Lauren Daigle’s song as a wonderful reminder of Jesus’s rescuing power.
The second video I am sharing is The Blessing by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. It expresses my heart’s prayer for you that God will bless you my reader this coming year.
Let us look to Jesus for hope in these troubled times.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
Thank You Matt!
