Weekly Reminder- Please Be Kind

What is it like in schools? Well at least the school I teach in? This week in my school we had two teachers out with COVID with other teachers not back yet after having COVID. We have specialists, teachers who teach things like art or music, cover classes they normally would never teach. In other words, it is stressful.

What about little ol me? On top of teaching during the day, I am teaching classes in the evening at the college to make extra money. So Monday through Thursday is a crazy busy time for me. Is it any wonder I look like this at the end of the day? lol

I am thankful I can start each day with Jesus. My prayer time, however, has been focused on praying for those who are sick and asking Jesus to help me be a blessing. As I drive around in my van, I have a song on repeat- My Prayer For You by Alisa Turner. It speaks to me during this time.

This is my friendly reminder, weekly one, to please be kind to teachers and school staff. Please be kind to nurses. Just please be kind to people.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. Amen to Chuck’s comment! Also, it is sad that it took a pandemic to remind us to be kind, but we are human, so it takes adversity sometimes to remind us of such a simple thing. Thanks for the reminder, Matt.

  2. Amen! Kindness to one another is one of the most important aspects of this life. As a former teacher, I can remember that side so well. It could be a scramble on good days. I can only imagine the task in the midst of a pandemic. Continued prayers for our educators as well as all who are navigating this tough season.

      1. You’re welcome. I taught preschool for 7 years. It was definitely a busy time, to say the least, but lots of fun, too. 🙂

  3. Amen. Great reminder. My wife is a high school teacher. Teachers definitely deal with a lot of stress at times. I appreciate the encouragement to be kind to them and to all people. Blessings!

  4. Amen. We need to be kind to each other. I pray that as you pray for the healing of others the blessings of God will return unto you speedily. Have a blessed day.
