Signs of Jesus’s Return

Each year in March, I teach my students about severe weather and safety in case of severe weather. I usually do it at the end of March, but this year it seemed more appropriate to do it this past week. Last night we had our first thunderstorm of the year roll through our city. I think it probably got their attention. πŸ™‚

It is normal where I live for winters to vary. We can have two or three hard winters and then a warmer than usual winter. It has been like that all of my life. If we have a warmer than usual winter, I have a fairly good idea we will have an early spring. From experience I know how to read the signs.

Jesus spoke of signs of the end times before his second coming. Signs such as natural disasters, wars and rumor of wars etc. Each generation since then has though they were in the end times. During World War 2 many people thought that was the end times. With what is happening in Ukraine and the alliance between China and Russia, many think we are entering the end times now.

It is very possible we are approaching the end times. But it is also possible we are not. What should we do?

We should be prepared for both possibilities. We should be ready for his return to be a joyful one for us by placing our faith in Jesus as our Savior. We should also live our lives to be found faithful when he returns. At the same time live our lives as if he will not return in our lifetime by doing things like getting an education, gaining skills for employment, take care of our families etc.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. I believe we are living in the end times from the time that Jesus returned to heaven. A thousand years to us is like a day to God. We are still living in a God’s day and waiting for the hour of His return.
