Story Time- The Pupusas Truck

Pupusas are a food from El Salvador. They are made with corn flour, so gluten free, and can have only cheese inside, frijoles and cheese, beef etc. I love pupusas. so as fortune would have it, a food truck just so happens to be parked in a parking lot strategically placed on my way from my morning class to my afternoon class.

Perhaps it was a bit of scheming on the part of the pupusas to arrange the food truck to be placed right in the middle of my route. One never knows what lengths such things will go to to lure unsuspecting innocent bystanders like myself.

So yesterday as I was driving to my afternoon class not having had lunch yet, my van stopped at the food truck selling pupusas. Who am I to disagree with my van? I became a willing participant of buying from said food truck.

Perhaps it was my intention all along, but I would never admit to that. 🙂 I may have gotten the phone number, so I can call ahead to tell the woman who the food truck belongs to, so she can start my order. She just so happens to be a former student. Perhaps I am weak when it comes to food trucks selling pupusas.

As humans we tend to give into temptation. We are fallible human beings. Thankfully there is someone who was tempted just as we are and yet never sinned. Hebrews 4 says:

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Somehow I think I will end up at that food truck again today anyway. 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
