A Rainy Cloudy Stormy Morning

Waking up to thunder and the sound of rain on my day off from teaching is something I welcome. I like thunderstorms and especially love cloudy rainy days. It will like this all day. Perhaps my little sister Alicia of forhispurpose.blog will be excited. She lives in the same state about four hours from me.

One might think I would be sad to have a rainy day because it means no outdoor activities. Quite the opposite, I am happy. Why? Good question. I am glad you asked.

Rainy days make for perfect nap weather. After a foray out to my coffee shop to meet a friend, I will return home for aforementioned nap.

There is something else on my agenda for the day. I woke up with one word in my spirit- WRITE. I feel the prompting to do more writing. A friend asked me yesterday if I had summer plans. I told him one of my plans is to write. It seems God wants me to spend some time writing at the coffee shop after time with my friend.

But then the glorious event shall occur as I return home for a nap.

Do you like rainy days? How about stormy days?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. There is a certain peace that can be experienced from a quiet, rain shower. In fact, I’m enjoying one this morning. Matt, the Lord will bless your summer writing journey. God bless!

  2. I love thunderstorms…we did get rain on Friday night which was sooooo needed on this end of the state. It’s been incredibly dry and we’d been having fires in the area so rain was heavily requested through prayer. God sent rain Friday night and again all day yesterday, in fact yesterday we even got hail, sleet, and snow in the afternoon! So strange! Tomorrow it’s suppose to rain again!🙌 The song “open up the floodgates” has been running through my mind.❤️
