Saturday In The…………

A famous song by the group Chicago is Saturday in the Park about how wonderful it is to be in the park. Well I am not in the park. Not on this Saturday. We had storms roar through here bringing temperatures today more fitting for March. What is a boy to do on a dreary cold day?

Hang out in the coffee shop of course. 🙂

Who am I kidding? I would probably come here even if it was a nice day outside. 🙂

It has been productive nevertheless. I have written a blog post for tomorrow, checked in on the NFL draft, paid some bills, and started a new book The Soul of Shame by Curt Thompson. I have only read the first few chapters which are more introductory, but it seems like a good book.

Did I mention that I did not wake up until 11:30 this morning? Looks like a no nap day. But the sleep was so needed.

Coffee, a book, blogging, and nachos, too bad I don’t know music so I could write Saturday in the Coffee Shop.

What are you up this Saturday?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. I have the ability to write “Saturday in the Coffee Shop” for you Matt. I know it’s your favorite hang-out, when you’re not school or church. A few more details is all I need to write your song.

      1. We’re growing tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, summer squash, zucchini, and okra. We planted right before days of rain came, which was good. Now we’re waiting on it to dry out so we can put up some trellises. 😊

  2. “Saturday in the coffee shop” ❤️ I bet you could write it, given your creative blogging side!!
We had family visiting from Omaha this past weekend so we spent Saturday with them! They should’ve picked you up on the way!😉

  3. Greetings Matt! When I can’t find you, I just need to check the coffee shop. My wife and I traveled about 30 minutes west of the city to watch our grandson play in a club soccer match. We had to endure some cool temps and rain, but the trip was worth it.
