Goodbye and Hello

This morning I will say goodbye to the school I have been at for the past eight years. I will continue with Family Literacy at a different school next school year. I actually said goodbye to people already but will be in the building for a meeting this morning. I have been at the new school already having taught in that program too, so that is not the hello I am referring to.

My summer break begins tomorrow and beyond that I will have a bit more time freed up for whatever God has planned for me. The summer will be spent writing books and also reaching out to refugees and immigrants in my city.

It seems that God is calling me to new adventures. I have a few preliminary ideas and if they start to shape up, I will share more on them. The hello part of this post is saying hello to new opportunities that God will show me.

It reminds me of what Good said to Abraham when he first spoke to Abraham in Genesis 12:1

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

God basically told Abraham get going and I will show where to go as you go. No itinerary, no map, no just get going and trust God.

So for me it is a day of Goodbye and then Hello to whatever it is that God has planned for me that he has not given me the details of yet.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. I can’t wait to read your testimonials on your anticipated adventurous journey with the LORD.

What a summer to look forward too. I also pray for you to get your book finished. What an accomplishment just to begin penning your story to paper, then to completion.

      1. I am doing much better. I have an appointment for a second opinion toward the end of June. Can’t wait to get off the meds.

        Thanks for asking .

  2. That is definitely how I feel right now. No idea where I’m going. Top that off with and I am getting their really really slowly. Given that I am not very patient when I can’t see where I’m going, it’s not YET my favorite season….

  3. I am sure you will be missed at your old school but as you said God is calling you to new opportunities. I pray that God will continue to bless and keep you in all your future endeavors. I am sure they will be a blessing to others.

      1. Thank you for asking. It is Friday morning here. Am feeling strong in the Lord, he is helping me stay focused on him and not worry about things.
Hope your day has been good.

  4. You are safe in His hands. I love the story of Abraham the only part that I don’t like in his story is him carrying Lot with him and yet God said leave everything but that’s the story for another day. I believe you don’t have Lot in your life and no need to worry you gonna carry him along lol 😆. Blessings for new levels of blessings. I partake in your advancing 🙏

  5. Look forward to reading about your new opportunities. Other than writing a book about your life, what other books will you be writing about? Reads like you will have a eventful summer!
