I don’t know about you, but I have never been placed in a fiery furnace, placed in a lions den, come to the Red Sea with nowhere to go while being chased by chariots, faced a giant, had a wife give birth at the age of 90, or any of the other wonders that God worked for people in the Old Testament.
When we read those accounts, they can be encouraging for our faith but perhaps a bit difficult to relate to. However, the same God who performed those wonders is the great I AM. He has all power and loves us deeply. When we pray, we are praying to the same God who did all of those miraculous things in the Old Testament, the Gospels, and the Acts of the Apostles.
I will always remember the summer of 2020 during the height of the pandemic and being told classes I had taught at the college in the evenings for 20 years were permanently canceled. I had no way to seek out anything in the midst of the pandemic to replace the lost income I depended on for the summer. I heard Lauren Daigle’s song Rescue and prayed-Jesus I need you to rescue me. I had shared with a few people about my problem, but could not have anticipated what would happen. In the following weeks, I received enough money each month to make up for the lost income most of it anonymously.
Whatever situation we face, we can pray to the same God who performed the miracles we read about in the bible.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
God knows what we need and is waiting to provide!
Yes he knows our needs before we ask
The Lord is faithful. These accounts and many others in the Bible about the miracles God is able to do are my constant reminders that He can help me and rescue me in any difficulty I face.
He has always been and still is at work
Powerful testimony. The Lord is a provider. Praise 👏 the Lord.
Our eternal provider 🙂
amen and amen 🙏🏽 He will supply all our needs all the time
Amen!!!
Thank you for sharing this reminder of God’s faithfulness. He always takes care of us.
Love the song. Look for a bit of surprise in my post tomorrow 🤗
