I watched the following video by Katy Nicole yesterday. For me it is a powerful reminder of the importance of praying for families at this time. There is so much turmoil in our world what with the pandemic, wars, gun violence etc.
It is so important to cover families with prayer. Not just our own families, but also families of people we know. Whatever their lives are like, prayer is so important. I have seen the look of appreciation when I ask people how they are doing and let them know I have been praying for them.
One example is a young mother who teaches at the school where I taught in the mornings. She has myocarditis as a side effect of something due to a previously unknown genetic predisposition. After she confided in me, I would ask her a couple times a week how she was doing and let her know I am praying for her. We developed a friendship over the school year. She had a positive report from the Mayo Clinic a few weeks ago when she went up there with her husband. My continued prayer is for her to fully recover and be able to see her baby boy grow up and have children of his own. My friend is in her mid twenties, so I think it would be wonderful for her to live to be a 75 year old grandmother.
Let’s be praying for families. They need now more than ever.

It’s so powerful when when lay hands on/stand in front of the house of the people we are praying for.
I have, on occasion taken a walk through our neighborhood and prayed for the families in the homes I passed.

Very true and at times it’s so magical to just call a friend who tells you to pray for them and pray for them on phone and if they tell you to remember to pray for them when they are with you physically, just tell them to close their eyes and begin praying for them. It works magic. I always do that.
Responding to promptings of the Holy Spirit to pray for someone is wonderful

Praying Christians are truly lights of this world. It is blessed to pray for others. And what a blessing too to experience friends and others who are praying for us.
There is power in prayer.
There are occassions when God convicts me to pray for strangers I meet. Even if I don’t know them, I would say a prayer to God to bless them and if they don’t know Him may they experience His saving grace.
Responding to those promptings is a blessing
Is that ever a powerful message! Indeed we need to be concerned for the spiritual and physical health of every family we’re in contact with. I believe the decisiveness and immorality of the American culture are shaped by the dysfunction of so many American families. And I absolutely believe that a spiritual and health (minus drugs, abuse, hopelessness, etc.) revival among families can save America.

Amen big brother. Prayer is needed for families. The enemy is busy trying to destroy families but greater is He who lives in us and the prayers of the righteous are effective.
