Happy Father’s Day

It is Father’s Day in the USA today. I would like to wish the fathers who follow my blog a Happy Father’s Day. My your day be blessed.

When Father’s Day comes around, it is a time many people want to honor their fathers. Many people are blessed with good dads. For those of us who are not or in my case were not, there are bible verses about our Heavenly Father that I would like to share. They are encouraging for all who believe in Jesus.

Romans 8:14-15 tells us that we do not receive a spirit of fear but of adoption as God’s children. Yes we need to respect God, but be afraid of him striking us, no.

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.  The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

James 1:17 tells us that God the Father does not change, does not vary. in his love and that every good gift comes from him.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 

Matthew 6;8 lets us know that God our Father knows what we need before we ask. God knows all about us.

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

There are many wonderful verse in the bible about God Our Father. They can be of comfort for those who have lost a father or who did not have a good father.
