But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.  And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:4-5

God makes anyone who trusts Jesus as their Savior alive. But how is it that we are considered dead when we are living physically?

Death is separation. We tend focus only on physical death. God saw an even greater peril for us which is being separated from God because of sin. When Jesus died for our sins, it opened the way for us to be brought into relationship with God.

But wait there is more. Anyone who trusts in Jesus already has a seat, a place, reserved in heaven so we can enjoy eternal relationship with God.

God also goes to work in our lives to free us up in life. His work is thorough.

I love the song Glorious Day because it is a celebration of God giving us the victory in Jesus.
