Ah the smell of coffee brewing in the morning. For me, it is a wonderful way to wake up as the magical aroma fills in the air. Last week, I purchased a coffee grinder. It is the next step in my journey as a coffee aficionado. Previously, I bought coffee already ground at the coffee shop. From now on, it will be buying coffee beans and grinding enough for each day.

Saturday during lunch with Alicia of forhispurpose.blog and her family, I heard a voice that was familiar from many years ago. After lunch, I struck up a brief conversation with my old friend. Now we have connected on Facebook. y post today is inspired by her post about the give senses.
Yesterday evening, before class, I enjoyed dinner at a Middle Eastern restaurant. The flavors were delightful.
In my class last night, I saw my students who come from diverse cultures. Knowing how difficult their lives can be, seeing them smile in class is a blessing.
Have you ever wondered why God created us with our physical senses? Jesus could have created us as spirit beings with no physical senses, but he created us in physical bodies with our five senses.

God is our Creator and the creator of all things. Being a creator means he is creative. He expresses his creativity through his creation. He created us with our five senses so we could enjoy his creation. The birds we hear in the morning, the cool water that refreshes us, the flowers growing, he created for us to enjoy and experience.
It makes me realize how little I stop and thank God for his creation and for sharing it with me. God sharing his creation with us is an act of love. So this morning, I am grateful for the aroma of coffee and the sound of the birds.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
