A revolutionary thing happened yesterday in my life. It was something never before attempted by me. It was something I did with a new camera I bought during Amazon Prime Days for only $69. What was the extraordinary thing you might ask?

I am glad you asked. Yesterday, I sat down and read the instructions for the settings in the manual that came with the camera. Previous occasions after purchasing something, I would tinker around with it until I understood it. Not this time. Realizing there were things best to read about first, that is what transpired.

It caused me to think about the times in the past I would try to figure out something for life without consulting God’s word first or praying about it first. Interestingly, the times I have gone to God in prayer and gone to God’s word for guidance, things have always gone better for me. 🙂

Similarly, when going somewhere, I have found it makes things easier if I know the directions first. In my city that is all I need if it is a street I don’t know. If I am not in my city, GPS is great.

Jesus gave us the directions to knowing God and going to heaven in John 14:6:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Simple directions- know Jesus, we know the way to heaven and to relationship with God.

Do you read instructions when you buy something?

More importantly, have you followed Jesus’s directions?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. I usually read the instructions, and may even check on YouTube to see if there are user setup instructions.

Does your new camera take better pictures than your phone?

    1. I bought it to start vlogging with. I haven’t taken pictures yet but will try it this weekend 🙂

      How is your weekend?

      1. My weekend is well, brother. Nancy and I went shopping in the major city nearest our home today. Crowded malls are not my favorite thing. However, the coffee at a truck stop, on the way home , was top notch.

      2. Coffee makes things better perhaps even shopping 🙂

  2. I love this remember! Your example is great. Somethings don’t come with directions, like phones.

Good luck with your new camera. 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂

      Happy Sunday 🙂

  6. That’s one of the things I love about David…He was a worshipper, who sought the Lord regularly for instruction.

    1. Worship and seek God’s wisdom good combo
