My, Mine are words that express belonging. When someone calls you my friend, think how good it feels.
Jesus said in John 15:14-15
You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
His command? Love one another as he has loved us. In other words- become part of the family of God and be empowered by God to love on another. That is the how of it.
How wonderful it feels to have Jesus call us- “My Friend”.
