I noticed a new feature on WordPress. When one clicks on the little editing feature for things like bold print or paragraph alignment, there is now an AI Assistant as in artificial intelligence, I have not tried it nor do I intend to try it.

The use of artificial intelligence for blogging takes away the whole reason I read the blogs of other bloggers. I want to read their blogs for their uniqueness, for their style. I do not want some robot writing posts for me to read.

Richard of bigskybuckeye.com is an example of what I mean. He writes haikus and other poetry. I want to see his writing, not some robot’s writing.

Gary of garyfultz.com is another example. He shares photos of nature and weaves stories around them. I met him in person and know how much he loves the outdoors. I want to see his writing not some robot’s writing.

Brenda of becominghistapestry.com is another one. She shares about her life, her family, her faith. I love how she shares about real life and her faith. I want to read her writing not some robot’s writing.

Hannah of hannahmvandi.wordpress.com shares her faith in her poems and with her being in the UK, I feel connected to the world. I want to see her writing not some robot’s writing.

Dawn of drawingclosertochrist.com shares a weekly devotional thought. I want to see her thoughts about Jesus not some robot’s thoughts.

Pooja of lifesfinewhine.com shares six word stories, one sentence stories, and about her life in her country. She was a student in Canada for many years. I want to read her writing because I enjoy it and also because it connects me to the world.

Simone of thewheelchairteen.com shares about her life with a disability and her faith. I want to see her writing not some robot’s.

K.L. Hale of flannelwithfaith.com shares about her faith, life, and battle with cancer. I want to see her writing.

The list could go on and on, but perhaps you get my point. I want to read the diverse blogs that I do because of their style, their content, and connection with the blogger. I do not want to read something generated by AI.

    I agree with you Matt, I enjoy reading other bloggers writings and I also enjoy sharing on my page, I just wish that word press would stop changing things on us.

    I agree. I think that the AI tool mostly suggests words and sentences while typing (I’m guessing, I’ve never used it), a bit like Gmail does when you write an email, but that only really works in a more business-like, formal setting. WordPress is more about the personal writings and heartfelt emotions of bloggers – AI doesn’t really mix with that. I’m honoured by this shout-out and so happy that you enjoy my content. My writing always comes from the heart, I’m glad that you see that.

    YES. I don’t feel great about AI’s too —AI writing, AI Arts, AI everything. 😦
    Though I know it’s helpful in some sense but if users will depend entirely on it rather than just using it as an aid, it feels like faking things.

      Ai might be helpful in some areas but not creative things like art, writing etc.

    I’m with you, Matt. I won’t be using AI either if I can help it. It’s unnerving how it’s slipping into everything. Technology is amazing, but it’s still man-made technology.

    Matt, a few months a blogger had AI write a blog post of a devotional nature and wanted feedback. The AI post read right but had no touch of the Holy Spirit on it and did not have Truth in it. Made a comment on it because it could cause someone to be deceived. AI is something to stay away from and instead have the Holy Spirit infuse your writing!

    I’m with all these great comments Matt.
    I took a grand daughter fishing today
    Had a great boat time talk and caught fish. Ai will never take the place of that and would only replace the personal messaging with mere words.

    What would be the use of reading blogs created by a machine? It is the peculiarities of a creative soul that makes his or her writing interesting to read and a blog to follow.
