After my morning class yesterday, as I walking walking to my car in the parking garage, I met a young woman who had just left her class. She opened the door for me, so I thanked her and asked her how her class was. Then I noticed her tattoo which is of a tree in the movie Lord of the Rings. I mentioned that Lord of the Rings is my favorite book and movie series. Then I shared a simple message with her, “Everywhere you go, Jesus is there,”

She thanked me saying it meant so much at this time and then asked if she could hug me. I felt prompted to give her a copy of my book Jesus Understands Trauma, which I did after signing it for her. She teared up a bit and wanted another hug. She is a gentle soul in need of a healing touch for her soul from Jesus.

As I drove away, I realized I needed that moment too. So, I thanked Jesus for that moment because it reminded me of why I wrote my book and it encouraged me that Jesus is working.
Matthew 9:36 says:
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Jesus sees people. He sees their struggles, their pain, their hopeless state without him. He is full of compassion for all people.
I am grateful he arranged for my path to cross with a person who is in need of Jesus’s healing in her life yesterday. I am grateful for Jesus prompting me.
Hopefully my eyes stay open to Jesus’s leading and to others who are harassed and helpless.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
