Yesterday before my dermatology appointment, I spontaneously stopped at the place where I rededicated my life to Jesus thirty-four years ago. I recorded an unscripted video just sharing my thoughts. I enjoy impromptu sharing and letting God led me as to what to share.

I often think about interactions Jesus had by the water or on the water. Walking on the water in the midst of a storm, sleeping in a boat during a storm, feeding thousands with a few fish and a few loaves of bread by the lake, waiting for a Samaritan woman by the well. I feel connected to those encounters because I felt led thirty-four years ago to rededicate my life to Jesus by the lake.

I plan to do more with my YouTube channel sharing thoughts and messages based on my book Jesus Understands Trauma. I also envision making other videos impromptu or planned. If you have YouTube or gmail, please subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Thank you for reading and hopefully for watching. God Bless.

  1. Bless you, Matt. Testimony is always powerful.

      1. I’m well after a bit of an August break and gearing up for new routines of Autumn. God is good.

  2. Brother Matt, Home’s Lake, your testimony, the book, your walk with Christ…YOU ARE an example to follow. You’re heart is so filled with the love and service of Jesus. This testimony touched my heart so much. Thank you for reaching so many—in different countries, in your home area, and here, reaching so many in this space. Like you, I feel a special connection to the water because of Jesus. And the mountains, too. A particular river, the Finley, is one of those. I miss being near my lake, but through my cancer journey I know God put me in “town” for HIS reasons. HE does remember, Matt. He knows, He sees,…God bless you, brother. I can’t stop singing Gary’s song—Even today he walks on water….even today he heals the heart. I can’t get it out of my heart and mind. And you’re more “proof” of the goodness of God! Many blessings!! 🙏💛

    1. Thank you little sister 🙂
I often think about how Jesus told us to lay aside treasures in heaven not earth

      1. Absolutely true. Yet so many are focused only on the treasures of earth which will mean nothing in the long run.
