Fall Foliage is scenic with the beautiful array of colors on the trees. Parks are wonderful this time of the year, except sometimes in my state Nebraska. 30 to 40 mph winds, 48 to 64 kph, are common here and when the winds gust, the leaves fall earlier. That has been the case this year with many of the trees being bare already.

It is an annual reminder that all things in this life are temporary. Such is true of ourselves. Our earthly lives are temporary. Isaiah 40:6-8 remind us of this:
“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
Surely the people are grass.
he grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”
God’s word by contrast stands forever because God is eternal. Note how our faithfulness is described as being like flowers in the field. We bloom at times in our faith and we wither at times. Thankfully God is eternally faithful to us and to his promises for us.
Yet even in our weak faithfulness, God is faithful to remember us serving him. Hebrews 6:10 says:
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
God is eternally faithful to us. His word and promises stand forever. I am thankful God’s faithfulness does not depend on my weak faith.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
