Advent Already?

Here we are. It is Sunday November 26th and it is already the first Sunday of Advent. At church this morning, we will begin with Christmas Advent as part of our worship. To top it off, we had our first snow. It was a whole inch of snow overnight. I am sure some bloggers will…

Here we are. It is Sunday November 26th and it is already the first Sunday of Advent. At church this morning, we will begin with Christmas Advent as part of our worship. To top it off, we had our first snow. It was a whole inch of snow overnight. I am sure some bloggers will laugh at that. 🙂

But I am not ready for Advent. It is still November. We have four more days of November after today. Christmas is thirty days away. I don’t know why but mentally I am not ready for Advent. Next Sunday I will be because we will be in December.

Does that sound crazy?

Nevertheless off to church I go even though I woke up with the tempting thought of staying home due to the cold weather. It is only 23f/5c this morning. Again cue the laughter from some bloggers who live in the north. 🙂

I will share one Advent/Christmas thought. It is all about Jesus and his sacrifice for us. He left heaven to become a human baby for the purpose of dying for our sins, so we can have eternal life and forgiveness and then defeated death for us through his resurrection.

    Our wind chill factor is way below zero. It’s snowing and blowing and actual temps will hover around zero tonight…then a big warm-up coming in the week. Maybe 30??
    It’s actually not much different than your area…a few degrees, another layer of clothing is all. Maybe more ice skating available?

    The times just flies by. Its hard to believe it’s almost December. It’s raining here today. But we made it to church and I’m so glad we did, because it was a great service. I hope your day is blessed.
