Last month, I shared a post titled- Being Set Free. In the post I shared about a young woman who read my book Jesus Understands Trauma. She has been in my prayers every day. I understand where she is coming from, her experiences, having lived through so much myself when I was her age.

After I talked with her one Sunday, I realized the urgent need was for her to be safe. I talked with the pastor of the college group to let him know the urgency of the situation.

Sunday morning, I found out that a family from church has taken her in to live with them. They have a daughter the same age who has become friends with her. The two of them want to get an apartment together, but my friend needs to get a job first. But she is in a safe place now.

We talked after church about how she is living in a safe place now. She shared with me that the first night she slept fourteen hours because she felt safe.

Now that she is safe, we can begin the process of step by step empowering her for living life and hopefully get her some therapy with a therapist who works with trauma victims.

What prompted me to share about this today is the verse of the day on biblegateway.com. 1st John 3:18 says:

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

The family from church is loving her with actions by taking her in. We are speaking truth to her. Truth that can set her free. We can do that because she is safe now.

Sunday at the end of our conversation I played the song Safe by Alisa Turner for her.

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

Grateful for the couple opening their door and extending a helping hand. Giving the opportunities to her, as God gives to them. Yes indeed, God is good. I pray the Lord continues to guide her steps and that many more doors are opened for her. Blessings.
