March in my state of Nebraska usually means cold or cool weather but also crazy at times. In one state, we can have a snowstorm in the north and thunderstorms in the south parts of the state. But this year, this March, we we will bounce between the 50s and 70s. Is this really March?

The trees are confused and have already started to bud sending pollen out into the air about four weeks early. But one thing has my attention. We have not seen any robins yet. When they come back, it announces the arrival of spring to us. The fact I have not seen any yet makes me wonder if they know something as in winter isn’t finished with us yet.

That dreaded time change is a week away which will cause the loss of an hour of sleep. Thankfully it will only affect me for one morning because the rest of that first week of the time change will be spring break for my college, so I can ease into it.

Whatever we experience here, my focus stays the same, share the love of Jesus, teach, help, etc. Each season brings different ways to do so. This morning I will meet with some friends to help them with English, than have lunch with friends to discuss ministry, and then off to a coffee shop. That is a typical Saturday for me during any season.

What are you up to today?

Thank you for reading. God Bless.

  1. The robins have arrived here in Oklahoma, so Nebraska can’t be far behind.

    1. So the mean floor cleaning machine has not scared the robins away 🙂

  2. Matt, it’s always wonderful to catch up with you. We’ve seen robins here in central Ohio. Meanwhile in my native state of Montana, we’d still be dreaming of them until April. March is coming in like a lion with warmer temps in the next few days. We’ve even experienced violent storms as February left us. A tornado touched down to the west of Columbus during the early morning darkness. My wife and I spent about 45 minutes sheltering in our bathroom.

    1. Oh my glad you are okay after that morning.

      1. Other than some isolated property damage and some uprooted trees, everyone escaped without a scratch. We were quite a ways from where the most intense part of the storm hit.

  3. We had a bit of snow throughout Thursday night and into Friday…but back up into the high 60s come Sunday!
    Did y’all have any snow?

    1. I think you love snow 🙂
