During my trips to Romania in 97, 97, 99, 02, 04, and two in 05, the exchange rate of dollars to the currency there at the time was definitely in my favor. In 97 it was one dollar for sixteen of their Lei. In 98 it was one dollar for thirty-three Lei. In 04 it reached a peak of one dollar for 5,000 Lei.

Each trip I felt like a millionaire when I would exchange money and find out how much things were cheaper for me in Romania than at home in the USA. I felt the same way during my trip to Mexico in 2010 exchanging the dollar for pesos and my two trips to Brazil in 2013 and 2015 exchanging the dollar for the Rhea.
Those exchanges are nothing compared to the exchange Jesus offers us in Matthew 11:28-30.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus invites us to come to him with all of our garbage from life that weighs us down, all of the hardships, all of the mess, all of the issues, give it all to him, and in turn receive rest, healing, restoration.
That is the greatest exchange ever.
Thank you for reading. God Bless.
