My preferred mode of transportation in June is a jet taking me to another country. Air travel lost its excitement for me long ago as have international airports. But the thought of being in another country always excites me.

Not exactly my preferred mode of transportation, a gift from a friend at church to help my recovery. It works well for getting around the college etc. but impossible to bring up the two flights of stairs to my apartment, so I keep it in my car and use a smaller walker to get to my apartment and back down. The routine is get down to my car, swap the walkers, and then go to the end of the parking lot to meet my Uber ride.

The wheels actually have some trend on them, so I imagine it would work on snowy sidewalks, but by no means do I wish to need it by that time. I walked a bit with a cane the other day. Not quite there yet, but I think in a few more weeks I will. I do not plan to name it because I do not plan to need it long enough. 🙂

Where it did take me today was to the Uber, to my classroom, to the bus, to my coffee shop, and back to the bus and classroom. So I am getting out and about. By the way, I had iced coffee, black, no repurposed soda drinks for me.:)

This morning in my class for new refugees, I had students from Afghanistan, Cuba, Syria, and Ukraine. It was fun to meet them for the first time and surprise them by greeting them in their languages.

It has taken me to my churches, home church in the morning and Ukrainian church in the afternoon, so it is serving a purpose. Considering Jesus and the disciples walked most places for miles, I am grateful I have this to help me along the way.

Hopefully next June, I will be getting on a jet line again. 🙂

Thank you for reading. God Bless.
