Turns out it was the right decision. I was asked to help with Orientation for new students at the college. It was tempting to not go because a friend wanted me to watch the football game with him. But in the end, I went and helped with Orientation to help new students register.
The football game? It was a total fiasco. My team got blown out. I was glad I did not watch it.
So in the final analysis, though it was a struggle making the decision, by doing what I knew what the right thing to do, I was blessed.
Though my minor dilemma yesterday was nowhere near the scale of Jonah, it brought to mind Jonah and how he did not want to follow God’s leading, but in the end learned so much through it even though it meant spending time in the belly of a sea creature.
